Cruise ships: Be sure to look at the scenery!

I am soon due to take several 2012 river cruises and a friend of mine continues to remind me to look out of the ship’s windows and stand on the deck to take in the surrounding scenery on a regular basis. Her reminders are justified because many cruise ships comprise bars, restaurants, casinos, cinemas and more and so it is all too easy to forget to appreciate the natural beauty involved in such trips. I am going to investigate whether or not it is possible to eat ‘al fresco’ in order to ensure I witness plenty of ocean views whilst I am away.
